BYNS is a symposium aimed to bring together young neuroscientists from Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain) and abroad. PhD students and Postdocs will have the opportunity to present their scientific projects in a relaxed atmosphere. You will be able to talk about your current work in the field of neuroscience through oral presentations and posters sessions. Therefore, participants are invited to submit abstracts for poster presentation and short talks.
Topics vary from molecular and cellular mechanisms to systems neuroscience, along with a translational focus oriented to dive in brain diseases such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease, psychiatric disorders, etc, ensuring the multidisciplinarity of the event.
Furthermore, we will host a plenary lecture from Susana Lima, PhD (Champalimaud Center for the Unknown), an open science workshop to learn about important tools we can use for our research and a roundtable with neuroscientists in different stages of their career, both from industry and academia. Therefore, BYNS is the perfect opportunity for young neuroscientists from all over Europe to present their work, make new future collaborations, and create a network in a comfortable atmosphere.
We have made an important effort in collaboration with our sponsors to offer a free symposium, so everyone can attend it. Furthermore, we offer several travel grants for people from outside Barcelona.
