FENS, on behalf of the Dana Foundation, offers financial support of up to EUR 1,000 to Brain Awareness Week event organisers within Europe. Resources for organising online events, including the recording of the webinar «Running a Brain Awareness Week event in 2021», are available on the FENS website.

- Travel Grants to attend JNS 2021(21 Jan)
(FENS members only) FENS is offering grants of up to EUR 1,200 each to cover the associated travel expenses to the 44th Annual Meeting of the Japan Neuroscience Society (28-31 July 2021, Kobe Convention Centre, Japan). The travel awardees’ registration fees will also be waived.

The FENS-Kavli Scholars is a multidisciplinary and self-organised network which aims to improve Neuroscience in Europe and beyond through scientific exchange, providing opportunities for young scientists, and facilitating dialogue between scientists, policy-makers, and society. The ALBA Network is proud to present to the neuroscientific community the ALBA Declaration on Equity and Inclusion, during a special launch webinar at the SfN Global Connectome.
The goal of the ALBA Declaration is to raise awareness and provide a concrete set of actions that individuals and institutions can commit to in order to make the brain research community at large more inclusive.

This course will highlight the new anatomical, genetic, optical, electrophysiological, optogenetic, and pharmacogenetic approaches that are available to understand the links between activity in neural circuits and behaviour in neuroscience.

FENS and the European Journal of Neuroscience (EJN) would like to invite nominations for:
The FENS EJN Young Investigator Prize 2022, in recognition of outstanding contributions by an early career researcher to any area of neuroscience.

The EJN Best Publication Award 2021, in recognition of the best original research article published in EJN over the preceding two-year period.

- Eric Kandel Young Neuroscientists Prize(deadline 1 May 2021)
The Hertie Foundation (Germany), in cooperation with the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the Eric Kandel Young Neuroscientists Prize 2021. This prize rewards excellent European neuroscientists under the age of 40 (overall prize EUR 100,000).
